At a very young age Ymkje de Bijl aka YME! was diagnosed with autism, but as the dutch singer was growing up she didn’t allow her condition to have the upper hand on her, although it was tiring, YME! Didn’t give in, she kept pressing forward caressing her natural talent.
YME! Is a great singer as she also produces her own songs, she is the daughter of Esther de Bijl aka E-Starr, who is known as the female vocalist of the 80’s Hit group Ottawan with hits like D.I.S.C.O. and Hands Up.
The current release for the young talent YME! carries lots of emotions and a message she would like to share with the world. She calls this message “I Rule The World” This is by far the most commercial release since she started producing and releasing music in 2022 as an artist.
The song is about her personal experiences and she hopes her audience will draw inspiration of what she went through during her life dealing with her autism.
