The Daytime High opened their second single Waterfall with a solid melodic build-up, then carefully started crafting a solid progression with a subtle dark layer that kept on growing as the song progressed.
Waterfall is rather an uptempo rock track from the promising band, which sprung in the summer of 2022 in Thousand Oaks, California. Although the band I pretty young, they have the potential to rub shoulders with some of the great names in the rock fraternity.
Michael Johansson, David James, and Rich Buckland keep proving why we need to keep an eye on them after their debut Reaper, which was released on October 21, 2022, Waterfall showcases their craftsmanship and perfection with the musical instruments; the guitars, percussion, keys, drums, and vocals are all layered perfectly on the song to give the listener that feeling they have been longing for.
The song describes the feeling of wanting to belong to something or somebody but at the same time preferring to be alone. The Daytime High definitely has something in stock
