Chicago-based filmmaker & musician Cam Be has finally premiered the music video to her song “Cookin” which features Peter Jericho.
Starlotta “Star” Milan, a cross artist’s work mostly around plant-based diet activism dates back 20 years, appears in the film and was inspired by cooperation between Be and Milan, who collaborated together just to create a real vegan meal that viewers could make at home.
Briana Clearly, a screenwriter and conscience novelist, directed the video, which is based on the notion that Black Womxn and other disadvantaged people should have their own tales, both around and behind the camera.
Be says, “Healthy eating options should be available to Black communities everywhere…and seeing this video could inspire someone to try something new.”
He also added that “It is my responsibility to cultivate a culture around food and sustainability.”
